You can make a positive difference
for people and the planet!

  • Last year, with your help, Ethos Foundation sponsored over 150 people to receive their permaculture certificates with gifts of tools and seeds, dozens of new kitchen gardens and 2 community permaculture farms. Please help us with our 2021 permaculture projects in refugee camps, villages and youth programs in East Africa.

PERMAYOUTH CLASSES AND GARDENS IN REFUGEE CAMPS
Support the free Permaculture education & tools for Permayouth in refugee camps in Kakuma (Kenya), Rwamwanja (Uganda) and Navikale (Uganda) – led by local teachers.

  • $100 – one scholarship to attend permaculture design certificate course
  • $50 – one set of tools and seeds for a home food garden
  •

PERMACULTURE TEACHER TRAINING  – $250 / teacher
We aim to support as many people become permaculture teachers as we can – especially in vulnerable communities. We support free permaculture teacher education and mentoring for women, youth and local farmers in East Africa – led by local teachers. Let’s support 100 new teachers

PERMAYOUTH MUSIC AND FILM STUDIOS – $1500/kit
Young Permayouth in refugee camps say one of the best ways to share this knowledge like wildfire is through music and film. They tell fabulous stories, write brilliant songs and make great films – we are supporting them to get the equipment to do this well, and establish their own studios which can help them create livelihoods as well as educational material.

JENIPHER’S HAND-MADE & REUSABLE PADS FOR GIRLS IN KENYA $1000

Support Jenipher to buy 1000 kits ($1 per kit) so that she can make 1000 pads for girls in her community. Single-use pads are very expensive in the community, and girls who cannot afford them are often forced to do “favours” in exchange for them. This leads to pregnancy and puts an end to the girl’s education. Our goal is to raise $1000 each season and include nutrition and permaculture education when they are delivered to classes of school girls

WOMEN’S COMMUNITY FARM PERMACULTURE EDUCATION CENTRE, KAMBIRI KENYA – $6000

Last year we raised $6000 so that the women could buy their farm just before Christmas. This year, we will help them create the permaculture education centre and programs for the local school and community.

When you donate, please tell me where you want your donation to go.

We send 100% to the local communities – your donations get to where they are needed most.

With humble gratitude for your kindness.

PERMACULTURE TEACHER EDUCATION, EAST AFRICA

Permaculture teachers make a difference! Help train more permaculture teachers in communities that have requested assistance. Practical permaculture skills enable people to improve soil, nutrition, living environments, biodiversity, as well as livelihood potential and the local economy.
